Tomáš Hučka
Alias: TRETINA
Born: 1983, Zlaté Moravce
Everything started in my childhood. My father, an electrical engineering student at Tesla Vráble, designed and built his own Hi-Fi stereo amplifier as a school project, complete with an equalizer, inputs, a headphone output, and high-quality three-way speakers. My grandmother bought him the speakers for a price equivalent to five months’ wages at the time. This system fascinated me as a seven-year-old and opened the door to the world of sound.
I grew up surrounded by high-quality audio equipment—from reel-to-reel tape recorders and MC cassettes to the arrival of CDs and the digital era. At 15, my neighbors asked me to DJ at their new club. My collection of over 500 CDs met their criteria, which led me to my first hands-on experience with audio equipment. The gear was outdated, and sometimes I had to repair cables with a soldering iron during parties. This taught me to adapt and find creative solutions—a skill that has stayed with me ever since.
As a teenager, I discovered hip-hop and started creating my own music. I formed a group that recorded a demo album with 21 songs and performed numerous concerts. Although the band eventually disbanded, my passion for music production and DJing remained. With advancing technology, I focused more on production and mixing, not just for myself but for other artists as well.
Studio Establishment & Professional Career
In 2013, I opened my first studio in Bratislava. In a smaller but well-located space, I recorded and mixed over 3,500 songs in seven years, some of which reached millions of streams and even charted on the radio. I collaborated with many well-known and emerging artists across genres, from rap to pop and electronic music.
Artists I’ve worked with include:Dominika Mirgová, Kali, Adiss, Supa, Cigo (H16), Vladis, Plexo, Suvereno, Myself, Puerto, Čistychov, and many others. Over 3,500 recordings and mixes delivered.
Besides music production, I expanded into television and commercial production, collaborating with leading Slovak and Czech TV networks on audio recording for hundreds of shows, documentaries, commercials, and promo videos. Over time, I expanded my studio, increasing both capacity and service quality, including TV post-production and sound design.
